Growing up surrounded by the rich, soulful flavors of Southern and Latin kitchens, I learned early on that food is much more than nourishment — it’s connection, culture, and celebration. My family’s recipes, passed down through generations, sparked my love for bold, comforting flavors and the joy of sharing meals together.
That passion led me to the Art Institute of New York, where I trained as a classical chef and earned a certification in nutrition. I refined my skills working in the world-renowned kitchen of Jean Georges, a five-star French restaurant in New York City, learning the art of precision, technique, and creativity. But my heart has always been rooted in the vibrant, soulful traditions of Southern Soulfood and Latin cuisine. With Yulonda’s Edible Sensations, I bring these worlds together—crafting artisanal desserts that blend heritage with innovation, comfort and elegance. Every dessert I create tells a story — a celebration of culture, family, and the simple joy found in each bite. Whether it’s a libation-infused coquito pound cake or a nostalgic mango rum bar, my mission is to craft sweets that nourish the soul and create lasting edible memories. |
